For me, the act of painting begins where words can no longer go.
I cannot say much about my paintings — only that they spring from a vision,
something I glimpse,
and so I paint.
Often, these visions are born while reading poetry.
Why I see what I see, I do not know.
That is why I paint:
to offer others a window into my sight.
And through their visions, their words,
I often find a deeper understanding of what I have created.
